Oops. I meant to post to this episode.

I would really, really recommend that you not give up on the series without reading another book in it.

But I would recommend that you skip the other Cordelia Naismith novel (which is a *prequel* series to the Miles series). Instead, go for Warrior's Apprentice, which *is* the first book in the Miles Vorkosigan series. It starts with Miles buying a spaceship about to be junked, and through events that have to be read to be believed, ends with him being the commander of a mercenary fleet. Without meaning to. By accident. Oops.

Seriously, try Warrior's Apprentice. I think it has everything you're looking for in a Space Opera
